Being a Mom of two can get pretty hectic. As parents, we try our best to take our kids to do as much holiday fun as we can, but sometimes life happens instead. I am the parent who sticks to the tradition of trick-or-treating on Halloween night now that my kids are older, but when they were smaller we hit all the trunk-or-treats.

More often than not I'm the parent who waits last minute to plan anything, so I decided to put together a small list that will help like-minded parents. Here are some events that you can still catch on Halloween evening.

If all else fails make a quick round of your neighborhood. There were years when we had to do that and we discovered more people handed out candy than we expected. Look at the positive side, not as much candy to wind your kids up.

Keep Halloween Safe: Trick or Treating, Parties and Costumes
