Local Students Receive Texas-based Scholarship

Krystal Puntillo, a dedicated student from Midland, and Benjamin Diaz, an aspiring scholar from Odessa, are two of the 33 talented Texas students awarded scholarships by the Texas Affiliation of Affordable Housing Providers (TAAHP). This invaluable program has been instrumental in supporting hundreds of students residing in affordable housing communities across the state, empowering them to pursue their dreams of higher education and achieve academic success. The scholarships aim to alleviate financial barriers, allowing these students to focus on their studies and contribute positively to their communities.

TAAHP History

For over 11 years, TAAHP has awarded more than $650,000 in scholarships to students aspiring to receive a college education. Since 2019, TAAHP has significantly increased its support, growing from just 4 recipients to 33, now assisting more than eight times as many students.
