Is Music City Malls Fuddruckers Cheaper Than McDonalds?

Midland-Odessa, Texas --  I am always on the lookout for different spots to try for lunch in Midland-Odessa.  Recently, I visited China Town Buffet in Odessa and easily dished out around $50 for just two people.  Keep in mind, this was lunch, NOT dinner.  Being how everything seems to be more expensive these days, a good lunch deal is always welcome.

Lunchtime At Music City Mall

Rewind to a few days ago, and a coworker of mine and I decided to go to the Music City Mall.  Ironicly, it was during lunchtime.  We passed by Fuddruckers and we started to talk about it.  He had never been so he was curious, so we decided to eat there.

Upon entering, we looked at the menu when my coworker brought something to my attention.

Wow!  This place is cheaper than McDonald's!

I thought what?!?!  No way.  As we were looking at the menu, we decided to get the $7.99 combo meal, dubbed "The World's Greatest Offer". This consisted of a 1/3 pound burger, fries, and a cookie.

In my opinion, Fuddruckers can technically be considered fast food, but not in a traditional sense.  It just hits differently, so why would this cost less than McDonald's?  I had to do some research to see if it was actually true.

I thought to myself, there was no way that McDonald's was more expensive than Fuddruckers.  That was when I caught a glance at the menu.

Sure enough, there was the proof in front of me. The #1 Big Mac Combo costs $8.70 + tax, and the #2 Quarter Pounder Combo is $8.99 + tax. So, yes, technically, Fuddruckers is less expensive than McDonald's.  To me, this was a shocker, especially since I feel Fuddruckers has not only the better deal but also better food.
