You Won’t Believe The Fastest Speeding Ticket In Texas!!!
If you are from Texas you know that driving down our highways is a sport. I was on the highways often working at Sysco Foods as a Marketing Associate. This was when I discovered what it was like to drive on a highway in Texas. Everyone used the speed limit as a suggestion and I would constantly see people getting pulled over for speeding. Since then I wondered about the most outrageous speeding tickets state troopers have had to write.

AN URBAN LEGEND?
Since I was younger I always heard about the Koenigsegg CCR speeding story. The legend happened somewhere in Houston in 2003. The tale says they were pulled over for going 242 MPH in a 75 MPH zone and given a ticket. Even though this is a well-known story there is no physical evidence.
THE REAL FAST & THE FURIOUS
The proof is always in the pudding, or in this case, the written ticket. This story can be proven with the actual speeding ticket. In 2022 a 2018 Dodge Charger got a ticket going 201 MPH on I-10 in Gonzales County. Thank god there isn't much snowfall because this happened on Christmas Eve.
Now while the story about the Koenigsegg CCR going 242 MPH is a much better tale, it seems like we should keep it in the urban legend section until actual proof is presented. Regardless of whether you are speeding or switching lanes without a signal, everyone should be more mindful of other people on the roads. Plus the cops could probably use the break!
