5 Famous People Born in the Permian Basin, Texas

Being from West Texas you feel like you are in a bubble. To understand how it is out here you would have to spend a good amount of time out here. With that being said everything and everyone is at a constant movement out here. Being that there is so much in and out traffic out here, the locals may get lost in translation.

I consider myself born and bred here but the truth is I moved to Odessa when I was 8. With so many people moving out here for the opportunities in the economy, the true locals born out here might feel overlooked.

Every local in the Midland/Odessa area are true West Texans and we pride ourselves on that. We have bred some amazing people out here who carry the West Texas fight in them. Even when our locals move away for better opportunities, they still proudly rep the West Texas badge.

As I was thinking about all of the amazing people that this side of Texas has produced, I was curious about some of the most famous people from Texas. With how big Texas is we have plenty of stars to rave about. Beyonce hails from Houston, Matthew McConaughey from Austin and so many more in between.
