Entertaining Your Kids In Midland-Odessa For Summer Vacation
Midland-Odessa -- Today marks the last day of school for many schools in the Permian Basin. That raises the question of how people will entertain their kids while on summer vacation. Luckily, there are plenty of things to do in the 432 to keep the kids not only out of trouble but also prevent them from getting bored while they are on hiatus from class.

Stay-At-Home Fun
1.) Art Time- Print out some art projects or coloring activities from the internet and have them go to town. You can even create fun competitions between you to see who can create the best art.
2.) Start A Garden- This is a great way to get your child outside and also teach them the process and the rewarding feeling of being a gardener. You can even make this a daily activity as they water the flowers/plants/crops and watch them sprout.
3.) Cooking Lessons- With all kinds of great platforms like YouTube to learn from, you and your child could take cooking lessons together and cook up some delicious treats.
Outdoor Activities
1.) Hogan Park (Midland)- A park with disc golf and a large play area. This is a great way for kids to be outside and possibly meet other children to play with.
2.) Comanche Trail Park (Odessa)- This is a great spot for walking trails, paddle boats, and possibly picnics.
3.) Doug Russell Pool & Washington Aquatic Center- This large public pool comes equipped with a splash zone, slides, and all-around wet and wild fun for people of all ages.
Entertainment and Local Attractions
1.) Cinergy (Odessa)- Cinergy offers a variety of different things such as a movie theater, bowling alley, and arcade. They even have a bar for the adults to certain themselves while the kids have fun. Sounds like a win to me!
2.) Altitude Trampoline Park- This indoor facility is littered with trampolines, giving kids (and adults) a platform to perform and have some acrobatic fun all while being in a safe environment. Aside from that, its a great way to beat the brutal Midland-Odessa Summer heat.
3.) Museum of the Southwest- In case you wanted to somehow continue the education of your child while on Summer vacation, this is a great place to take them. The children's museum area is both educational and fun.
