Haunted or Hype? The Truth About Ector County Coliseum
The Ector County Coliseum, a longstanding Odessa landmark since its establishment in 1954, is renowned as a venue for various events, including hockey games, rodeos, concerts, gun shows, and exhibitions.
However, inquiries among local paranormal enthusiasts and Halloween storytellers may reveal whispers of unusual occurrences, such as strange energies, unexplained noises, or the perception of ghostly presences within the halls after hours.

Rumors and Stories of Paranormal Activity Inside the Coliseum
Despite the venue's age and the extensive foot traffic it has experienced, I was unable to uncover any verified, well-documented accounts of hauntings associated with the Ector County Coliseum within publicly accessible records.
No specific poltergeist incidents or archived paranormal investigations that garnered media attention were found; at least, none emerged during my research.
However, there is evidence of local promotions for eerie events held there, as well as social media posts that tease "haunted nights" linked to the venue.
So to be fair, many of the "stories" linking the Ector County Coliseum seem to me hearsay.
No credible sources have been uncovered, and they appear to be just rumors or even planted rumors in order to promote Halloween-themed events.

When I first heard the possibility of paranormal activities inside the coliseum, I was excited. It is such an important and recognizable venue to the community, so it wasn't far-fetched to hear rumors of it being haunted.
Isn't it convenient that these "stories" seem to pop up in October?
