West Texans are invited to enjoy an evening of food and entertainment at the Chocolate Decadence 2025. Experience a night of creating memories, while supporting the Aphasia Center of West Texas.

WHAT IS APHASIA?

Aphasia is a communication disorder resulting in a loss of language. It affects about 2.5 million people in the United States. One out of every 250 people in the Permian Basin will get aphasia because of a stroke or other brain injury.

APHASIA CENTER OF WEST TEXAS (ACWT)

The ACWT offers holistic, essential strategies that have helped over 2,000 West Texans keep dignity and quality of life. Client members in ACWT have programming options including education sessions, gardening, cooking, conversation groups, game sessions, and music for the members and their families to learn about aphasia.

Fundraising is important to keep ACWT running. Without fundraiser events, ACWT would not be able to carry on the mission of helping aphasia victims improve their quality of life by overcoming communication barriers.

All programs with ACWT are offered at a low monthly rate with scholarships available.
