It’s strange to me how the innocent thought process of a child sometimes really puts things into perspective.

I don’t get preachy about vegetarianism very often but I am VERY passionate about it. I know that it’s hard to wrap your mind around a no meat diet in west Texas but believe it or not I eat normal food like everyone else with very little salads lol.

We are man. We are the most powerful being on earth because of our great minds. With great power comes great responsibility. It is our responsibility to protect the weak and voiceless. It’s not that I’m against meat itself. It’s that I refuse to support it until animals are no longer kept in tiny cages and not allowed to be animals. If we are going to kill them then at least give them a good life. Anything less than giving them a spectacular life for what they sacrifice to feed us is nothing short of disrespectful to the very being that gave them life in the first place.

If you were to make a beautiful painting that took you weeks and hours to create, then someone just came along and tore off a piece of it to write down a phone number wouldn’t you feel disrespected? Imagine how you would feel if you created a life just for someone to cage it from birth, take it for granted, and keep it in filthy conditions its entire existence only to kill it in cold blood with no one there to comfort it.

90% of the meat consumed in the USA comes from cruelty and most the places you get your meat from lie about the conditions because they know most people wouldn’t intentionally support the level of cruelty with which they handle their animals. This little boy gets it. Do you?
