Advance Auto Parts Closing Locations? Midland, Texas Are Your Stores Safe?

No, not again Texas!

This year has been a tough year for storefronts. So many chain stores have been shutting down locations in the Lone Star State.

Denny's and Macy's announced they were shutting down locations, while Big Lots and Party City closed all their remaining locations.

Sorry Texas, another store is closing up locations but this time it's an auto parts store.

Advance Auto Parts Closing Stores

Even though the auto parts store first announced last November that it would close down a store. They just confirmed 500 corporate stores and 200 independent locations will close down this year.  The store also plans to shorten the staff at the stores that will stay open.

The plan includes closing four distribution centers.

In 2024, the auto store chain closed 40 stores and opened 42 new locations. By the end of last year they had 4,788 locations.

If that wasn't bad enough news for the company, Advance Auto Parts stock dropped drastically 18%.

What Texas Locations Are Closing

I think it's safe to say that locals in the Permian Basin do not want any more closures from their favorite stores.

One of the most recent stores closing in the area is Big Lots. Is there another one coming our way?

Here are the Advance Auto Parts Store closing in the Lone Star State:

• Corpus Christi: 10765 Leopard St.
• McAllen: 1010 North 10th St.
• Weslaco: 154 North Texas Blvd.

It looks like the Permian Basin dodged this round of closures.
