If arroz con leche was not a part of your childhood are you even a true mexican? I grew up eating this stuff. Forget ice cream, cookies, cake, most desserts that we all love now, this is the OG dessert. Why? Because mom, or your favorite tia or your abuelita always had the ingredients for it. 

The ingredients my momma always used was of course white rice, milk, sugar, butter, cinammon and sometimes vanilla. If you wanted something sweet at any time of day in a mexican household, this is what you got. lol And I was always okay with that because I love it! Now as you can see, I make it for my kids. Arroz con leche will never get old in our household!
