A Cold Front Is Coming Soon! 4 Ways Texans Dress For Cold Weather

It's that time of year! Colder temps will be hitting the 432 soon, in fact by Monday we are going to have a major drop in temps with a high of only 42 degrees. Halloween, you better bundle up, because trick-or-treat weather, is going to be rather chilly, with a high of only 54. The cold is coming ready or not. 

4 WAYS TEXANS WILL DRESS THIS WINTER:

1. You will 100% see people in shorts. That is a given, don't bother judging because no one cares Karen. Many feel 'winter' here in West Texas is not cold enough to bother with jeans or sweats, don't assume this person didn't do laundry just know that shorts are perfectly acceptable even in snow!

2. A jacket or hoodie and shorts combo is also something you will see during the coldest winter months. We have grown accustomed to the day starting out crazy cold in the morning but more than likely after lunch the sun will be shining. We are prepared.

3. No jacket is also acceptable, you will see this mostly with Texas men. I'm not sure that I've ever seen a jacket in my man's closet, let alone him actually wear one.

4. Open-toed shoes or sandals for ladies and flip-flops for men are a thing even in the coldest winter months. We all wear them during the summer with shorts so why should wintertime be any different? It's all the same in Texas.

Just know that on the coldest of days if you run out of the house in the total opposite of what some would consider 'cold weather clothing' you will not be judged. In fact, you will probably be the odd man out while the rest of us are nice and comfy running around in cut-offs when the cold weather months arrive.
