What Did You Say To Me…?

Has anyone ever complimented you, you say 'thank you' and later on you think, 'wait that was a back-handed compliment if I ever heard one!' Someone I had not seen in awhile told me the other day that I had lost some weight and they could tell because now 'I have dimples in my cheeks.' What the...? Funny, I thought I had had them my whole life! lol Some people just do not know how to pay a compliment. Here are a few more I've heard over the years, especially being in radio....

-oh, you don't look like you sound on the radio

-or how about, you don't look at all like I pictured you!

-Leo and I have both heard, you both sound 'big' on the radio lol

-(after having lost some weight) oh, you're not big anymore

-even better when I change hairstyle or color-your hair looked better the other way

The list could go on and on....I doubt anyone means any harm but some folks just blurt out what they feel. Good thing I've pretty much heard it all and can laugh it off! What is a compliment/insult you might have received before?
