To say my visit to this long-standing establishment in Odessa was overdue is an understatement! The Permian Basin Hamburger Company has been around for over 40 years, in fact, according to owner Dwaine Cox, they opened on July 6, 1976. 47 years ago this popular restaurant opened and I personally had never been until recently. Geez was I missing out?

I had the pleasure of visiting after saying year after year I need to try that place, I really need to stop by for lunch. Well, I finally did and it certainly did not disappoint.

I mean where else can you get a fresh, juicy burger and some hot, mouth-watering fries cooked to order like this?

With it being my 1st time visiting, I took a long hard look a the menu and this is what was highly recommended. The chili cheeseburger is the most popular item on the menu where as you can see bacon is an option on any burger and you can even enjoy some fresh beans with your burger if you'd like.

It is safe to say that a place that has been around for so long has faithful customers who stop by from time to time to get their 'good old fashioned burger' fix.

Wow, the drink station, the dining area, everything is just so clean in this not old, but vintage establishment.

It goes without saying I will be back. In case you have never been or may be new to the area looking for a good burger on your lunch hour, you must check out The Permian Basin Hamburger Company at 520 N. Grant in Odessa. They are only open for lunch Monday through Friday 11 am to 2 pm.
