Is this the JUNKIEST place in Texas? They sure hope so! We all know the saying...One man's JUNK is another man's treasure! Well, this is the TRUE definition of it and it's here in Texas! It's JUNKY on purpose and has become one of the strangest places in Texas! And, people from all over have visited it!
• THE CATHEDRAL OF JUNK IN AUSTIN, TEXAS!
It's known as the Cathedral of Junk and is located in Austin, Texas! It's actually somebody's backyard, Yep the backyard! In fact, you can't even see it from the street! At one point the City of Austin tried to shut it down but they failed!
• IT WAS BUILT BY ONE MAN!
Vince Hannemann is the man that came up with the idea. He started it back in 1988! His mom named the Cathedral of JUNK! He said he would always build stuff in his backyard as a kid.

I just did it because it was kinda cool, it's my clubhouse. It's fun. Kids, when they come through, they know what it is. I just did it because I liked it. And when I stop liking it I'll take it down.
