    Wagner Noel Performing Arts Center

I continually here complaints from visitors to Midland that there is nothing to do, my response is "REALLY?". I recently heard this from a vendor who was in town overnight, within minutes we had her hooked up with tickets to see Diana Ross. Yes, there were a few single tickets to an otherwise sold-out performance.Expect to see a diverse group of performances such as symphony, country and rock bands, plays, etc. The venue is beautiful and the acoustics are amazing . . . performers like Chicago and Steve Miller rave about the sound and promise to come back frequently. My advice is check the website for the dates you plan to be in Midland and you might get to see Art Garfunkel or Trisha Yearwood, a Disney play, or Paul Simon walk on stage during a performance by Steve Martin and Edie Brickel. You won't be disappointed!

For sure that's the place to visit. And it's not just for oilers: nice gems, educational movies and games for kids & adults and of course outdoor display of oil production history - beam pumps, drilling rigs, wellhead...

The Sunday evening Summer Lawn Concerts are so fun. It has usually cooled off enough and most seating is in the shade. Pack up a picnic, a nice bottle of wine, your lawn chairs and come enjoy the fun. The FARMERS MARKET is on the museum grounds during the summer, too. Saturday mornings at 8:30. Go early so you don't miss out of grass fed beef, fresh baked goods and garden fresh veggies and pickles.

I can't visit this with dry eyes. I have so much emotion when I view this that all I want to say is thank you to each and every person that has served in the military on my and others behalf. And also I would like to say thank you to the family that supported each one of these military men to make this choice. I love my country and all the we have fought for.

    I-20 Wildlife Preserve

TripAdvisor Rating: 4 1/2 Out of 5 Circles

TripAdvisor Review: Rocky V of Midland

This preserve is one of Midland's best kept secrets. This is an awesome place to take a stroll or to walk for exercise. The majority of the trail around the playa lake is covered in shade. The board walkways allow you to get out over the water and get up close to some of the water fowl that inhabit the preserve. There is also an elevated overlook that gives you a great view of the surrounding area. We have seen roadrunners, rabbits, snakes, frogs and other wildlife in the area. See it to believe it!

Sporting events -- AA Minor League Baseball, local/regional football games and Semi-Pro Soccer, Texas Tech football and baseball special events. I highly recommend going to see the Midland Rockhounds baseball games, April through September each year. This Oakland A's minor league team plays in a beautiful park, well kept, admission price is around $9.00 per ticket, lots of food and drinks. See the Bungee Tug-of-Wars, Dizzy Bat Races and more between innings. Fun for the kids with playground and splash pad (bring extra clothes and towels). Picnic areas for company functions, reunions or birthday parties. See the major league players before they make the big league -- Josh Donaldson of the Toronto Blue Jays played a season in Midland. Many hotels and a few select restaurants within walking distance of the ball park.

This is an unexpected treasure. A fabulous research library with information on the cattlemen of the west. If you want to write the next definitive cowboy novel, you need to spend time her like McMurtry did for Lonesome Dove. There are also historical artifacts (the Alamo bell) and magnificent art pieces from Remington to Goodnight. If you find yourself in Midland, make time for this hidden gem!

Went to a show at noon on a Saturday. The place was packed but lots of employees working to keep it clean. Got a burger combo-pricey but was the BEST burger I have had! And it was large-should have shared with a friend. Fries were amazing! Eat before the lights go down though-stuck my burger in my ketchup pile! lol Employees were all friendly & acted like they were glad you were there. Love the advance ticket program but should be able to just show ticket on your phone. With only four kiosks to print tickets, lines form.

I've been going to Summer Mummers for 35 years and it never disappoints! Boo and hiss at the villain, cheer for the hero, throw popcorn at your friends and the other audience members...I always have a good time!
