How often do you stay at hotels? How do you decide where to stay? Do you read reviews online, and stay at hotels that have been recommended by family and friends? For me, it would definitely be all of the above because we travel often and do stay in the same places in most cities. But to be honest, since we live and work here in the Permian, I think it is safe to say we have never stayed at hotels in the area, but there is a curiosity...

which hotels in Midland do you think are the nicest? Which hotels get high ratings in the 432? I've got the answer, according to Yelp.

David S. from Grand Prairie says via Yelp

This hotel is awesome, the rooms themselves all have kitchens, full size refrigerators, microwave, two burner stove top, sink and I think a dishwasher, because they also had dishes for you to use if you needed them.  They also have a sofa bed which came in handy this past weekend.

2. Sleep Inn & Suites Midland West 5612 Deauville Blvd.

Jacquie from Miami had nothing but good to say on Yelp reviews:

After a long tedious drive from Big Bend National Park, it was a joy to walk into an immaculately clean room. Beds are what dreams are made of. Large roomy bathroom with goodish towels. Check in was a breeze.

Canyon from Midland stayed here for a short time while renovations were being done to their home, here's what they had to say:

It met our needs, which were a place to stay with our dog while flooring was installed in the house. The king room had a good bed, a table with a desk chair, a sofa, and two armchairs. Also had a small fridge and a microwave.

Here is what Eric from Ft. Worth had to say about his personal experience via Yelp:

Excellent stay at yet another Tru hotel, this time in Midland! Considering that you are smack dab in the middle of oil country (tons of loud oilers frequent every hotel within the area), the property is surprisingly quiet in a way.

5. Hampton Inn Midland  5011 W. Loop N. Ste. 250

I liked this hotel.  There was nothing spectacular, but nothing I can complain about either. The staff was friendly and helpful.
