These 3 States Are Where Many Texans Are Choosing To Move To
We have had a ton of transplants here in Midland-Odessa in recent years. You cannot go to a restaurant, a grocery store, an appointment, or otherwise without meeting someone who is not originally from Texas. Even on the radio, we have spoken to many a B93 listener who tells us they are not originally from here. They either transferred here with their job or followed family or are looking for better job opportunities or a cheaper cost of living.
I've heard all of these different reasons myself. But believe it or not, there are some Texans who say peace out to The Lonestar State too! But where are they going? According to Stacker, in a survey that was taken some years ago, around 2019, there are several states that Texans are opting to move to.
TOP 3 STATES TEXANS ARE MOVING TO MOST:
1. CALIFORNIA- wow! are these folks trying to be Disneyland Park visitors for life? Hoping for some celeb sightings in Hollywood? Or better yet hoping for some beautiful warm dry, summer temps and mild winters?
2. COLORADO- According to Stacker, 7.1% of Texas residents moved to Colorado in 2019. I get it! I too love beautiful snow-capped mountains. I happen to personally know someone from Texas who moved to Colorado, just for a change of scenery and is absolutely thriving!
3. OKLAHOMA Stacker deduced that 5.8% of Texas residents moved to Oklahoma. Make sure to get your kicks on Route 66! A dear friend shares countless photos on her socials of her beautiful land in the part of OK she moved to with her family from Texas a couple of years ago. It's the Sooner State baby!
