Texas Woman Torches Boyfriend’s House After Woman Answers His Phone
Jealousy takes on many forms but for one Texas woman, it meant committing a couple of felonies.
According to NBC DFW, a central Texas woman is facing felony charges after she set her boyfriend's house on fire after a woman answered his phone.
The 23-year-old woman was video-calling her boyfriend when the woman answered his phone, the girlfriend became so upset she broke into her boyfriend's house and set his couch on fire.
Video surveillance caught her at about 1:45 am setting the couch on fire which spread to the rest of the house causing $50,000 in damages, the girlfriend also stole several items while she was there.
After she left his home she texted her boyfriend saying, "I hope your house is OK," according to police reports.
The thing the girlfriend was not aware of was the woman who answered her boyfriend's phone was actually a relative of her boyfriend.
The Bexar County Fire Marshall's Office is investigating the fire along with the Bexar County Sheriff's Office who said the girlfriend was arrested and charged with felony arson as well as felony burglary of a habitation by force.
When jealousy rears its ugly head, common sense goes out the window, it is not known if the girlfriend asked the woman who she was or just ended the call and then went into her felony fit of rage.
The moral of this story is to make sure if you have not been introduced to all of your significant other's family, you might just want to ask the simple question "who are you?" before you fly off the handle and end up spending time in prison because you have jealousy and a short temper.
