SHHHHHH…..

When is the last time you were at a restaurant, in a movie theater or in a place where for the most part it's quiet then a baby or toddler starts making noise and what do the parents do?

  SHHHHH..... Pet peeve! Sometimes I want to tell these parents you made more noise with your shhhh  than the kid was making! I don't know why it drives me crazy but it does. The way I see it there are alternatives to the dreaded shhhh. I've heard parents just say 'be quiet' or 'hush' or just put a finger to your mouth and the kiddo knows you mean business. I remember the days when all my dad had to do was give me 'the look' and I better zip it, or else. Next time you're out and about pay attention to the shhh parents, you will hear what I'm talking about. What do you do or say to get your kids to be quiet?
