National Dog Week

So this week is National Dog Week! A week to raise awareness about being a responsible pet owner and probably a chance to spoil our pets even more than usual. Did you know that last year Americans spent nearly $51 BILLION on their pets? Wow! I guess food and vet visits alone can get pricey, then you have to factor in grooming and some people even have pet-sitters or take their dogs to pet hotels when they leave town. Dogs are actually the most popular pet to own and even though we don't have a dog, yet, we would love to have an English bulldog one day and are surrounded by dogs that belong to family members. We have dachshunds, a shitzhu, a poodle, a westie and a chocolate lab in the family. Dogs....man's best friend,  loyal companions and fun to have around. Happy National Dog Week!
