Burger War in Odessa: Keith’s vs. Texas Burger Showdown
The good folks who live in Midland-Odessa aren't much different than anyone else in the world. To us, we love ourselves a great tasting hamburger. What's not to love? A slab of meat in between two buns, oftentimes with cheese and all the fixings.

1, 2, 3, 4, I declare Burger War!
Having said that, I decided I was going to declare a local burger war. Why? CAUSE I GOTTA KNOW! Two burger joints, head-to-head, in an all-out quarrel for bragging rights, and to settle who has the best-tasting burger in the region.
Keith's Hamburger Station
Keith's Hamburger Station has been a longtime staple in the culinary landscape in Odessa, Texas, since it was founded in 1968.

This establishment has been a long-beloved part of Odessa. Offering up delicacies such as All-American Hamburgers, Chicken Fried Steak, Corn Dogs, Fried Catfish, and Burritos, to name a few. Aside from classic burgers, the chicken-fried steak and the delicious gravy are equally as popular as the burgers.

Texas Burger
Texas Burger is a growing franchise with multiple locations spread throughout the Permian Basin. Founder Bobby D. Cox found early success with Texas Burger, which inspired him to dive into other franchise opportunities, later founding both Taco Villa and Rosa's Cafe; all three brands have had massive success in the region.
Things People Love
Excellent variety of burgers, sides, sandwiches, and desserts in an environment that has a mixed style somewhere between retro and nostalgic. The Cherry Pepper is a signature menu item that is also a fan favorite. Plus, any number of their ice creams or shakes they offer are a delightful treat to put a smile on anyone's face.

Conclusion
I found it exceedingly difficult to choose which is the better of the two restaurants. Both have their own things that make them stand apart while doing business in Odessa, based on deep cultural roots. While a clear winner needs to be determined, I feel this one may come to a split decision. I love the classic burgers of Keith's, but also love the sweet treats of Texas Burger. So let's just say they both win in my honest opinion.
