Over the last 25 years, Method Man has shown and proved to be a rapper and actor who can stand with today's more modern acts. These days, the emcee has a rap-themed show on TBS entitled Drop The Mic, and most recently he's been touring alongside Redman and Snoop Dogg on the Mount Kushmore Wellness Retreat Tour. Now, Meth is back in Hollywood, and in September we'll finally see him again on our TV screens.

A couple days ago (July 9), HBO released a teaser for their upcoming television series The Deuce, and the legendary rapper and funny man is front and center. "Scary world out here. baby," says Rodney —played by Method Man— to a woman in the minute-long trailer. The Deuce, also starring James Franco and Maggie Gyllenhaal, centers around 1970s/early 1980s New York City, a time in history where the prostitution and porn industries were at an all-time high. The new HBO original series was created by David Simon and George Pelecanos, who were also behind the network's award-winning Baltimore-based show The Wire.

Last month, Method Man tapped 2016 XXL Freshman Dave East, Joe Young and Hanz for his latest visual, "Eviction." The track —which also features Max B, who wasn't able to make the shoot for obvious reasons— is expected to be featured on Meth's upcoming The Meth Lab II: The Lithium project, due out some time in the near future. While hip-hop heads await the impending release, watch Method Man bust out his acting chops once more below.

The Deuce premieres Sept. 10.
