Being in a relationship can be difficult at times, even when you’re married to your best friend. You’re going to have disagreements, you’re going to get on each other’s nerves, but none of those instances are a good reason to threaten to shoot your spouse. Which is what happened to 34-year-old Jerry Perez of Bexar County in Texas, who is now facing charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The incident got more violent then just a simple threat according to News 4, who goes on to say that beyond just threatening his wife with a gun Perez also hit his wife and even pointed a gun at her. It sounds like the wife is recovering from the incident but was not hurt, thankfully.

The Fight Was Over Going to a Strip Club

The incident that lead to violence first began after Perez requested that his wife go with him to a strip club. His wife said no, which is when the couple began to argue which lead to Perez hitting his wife then pulling the gun on her.

The Incident Escalated Again

The wife of Perez didn’t want him to leave so she went to his vehicle and refused to leave. That’s when police documents indicate that Perez loaded the gun and said, “I’m gonna shoot this B****”. She did then leave the vehicle and Perez left the residence.

Perez is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
