When most people think about Midland-Odessa, Texas, they assume that literally everyone who lives here has some stake in the oil industry.  Obviously, we all know living here that isn't true.  While there are many of the residents of the area who do work in the industry, not everyone who lives and works here is associated with gas and oil.

One local, who does actually work in the industry, moonlights as a country music singer.  His name is Jesse Joe, and I wrote an article on him a few weeks ago.  You can see that article 👉here👈.

On April 26, we have our big Red Dirt BBQ and Music Festival event that you all may have heard us talk about over the last few months.  Well, Jesse Joe is now an opener for the festival, which includes musical acts such as Casey Donahew, Pecos & The Rooftops, Randall King, and Kevin Fowler.  This is certainly impressive to be in the company of some pretty successful country stars that Jesse will be sharing the stage with.  Especially since Jesse still works in the oilfield for his day job.

Jesse Joe stopped by the radio station to talk about Red Dirt, and to sing us a tune.

The Basin Red Dirt BBQ and Music Festival is Saturday, April 26, 2025 at the Scharbauer Sports Complex. Get your tickets 👉here.👈
