It's only been four months since Lil Yachty dropped his Lil Boat 2 album, but the Atlanta rapper appears to have more music on the way. On Friday (July 27), Yachty announced he would be dropping a new project on Aug. 23 to celebrate his birthday.

"On da real, gone drop a ep for my birthday 8/23, remember dat," Lil Boat tweeted. Yachty's post was retweeted over 3,000 times and received more than 22,000 likes. The rapper was also hit with a number of replies from fans, asking him to put a few of their favorite unreleased tracks on the EP.

While Yachty's untitled EP has a release date, the rumored Glacier Boyz project between Yachty, Gucci Mane and Migos has yet to see the light of day. Originally set to release on April 1, the project missed its release date but hasn't received a new one yet.

In related news, Lil Boat has been staying busy, appearing on the projects of other rappers. This month, Yachty joined K$upreme and Hoodrich Pablo Juan on the song "Run Wit Da Sack," which is featured on K$upreme's Flex Muzik 2.

Yachty also recently linked up with Sheck Wes for the track "Niggas Ain't Close." Produced by Redda, the song finds the two getting their flex on as Yachty raps, "Two million dollars in a safe/Reach for my chain, pussy ass nigga that ain't safe/223s SK, SK all in your face/I want the neck, fuck the sex—that's my pace."
