Justin Bieber Begs Fans to Be Quiet, Their Screams Further Intensify

A world-weary Justin Bieber made a valiant attempt to silence the shrill cries of fervent Beliebers during a stop on his Purpose World Tour last night (October 18), but his pleas for quiet were continually drowned out by overzealous fans who must not need air to breathe.

“Can you guys do me a favor? Can you guys just relax for about two seconds?” Bieber begged, already knowing his attempts to quiet down a Birmingham stadium full of eager fans was, no doubt, a pointless one. 

“I get it, I get it,” he said, though there is no real evidence that he has ever truly gotten it. “But I’m, like, two feet away from you. And I can hear you.”

The "Sorry" singer took a softer, more appreciative approach then, hoping to appeal to the sensitive, compassionate screamers in the crowd.

“I appreciate all the love, it’s amazing,” he said, with an unconvincing waver. “But can you show it in a different way? The screaming is just so obnoxious.”

And it is! Babies scream, and no one likes being trapped on an airplane with one.

"I get it, it’s been in our blood and it’s ingrained — you go to a concert and you scream and stuff," he said. "But if you could just scream after the song, enjoy the song...and then you take a chill pill for a second and listen to me speak..."

Bieber trailed off then, before admitting a universal sentiment: "I don’t feel like I’m being heard sometimes, and it gets a little frustrating."

He tried one last time, begged, "When I’m speaking, can you guys not scream at the top of your lungs? Is that cool with you guys? Can you do that?"

Sadly, they could not. Bieber ultimately conceded to the cries, as Purpose single "Company" blared from the stadium speakers. Another day, then.
