Yuck! Do Texans Really Like Candy Corn? Open Letter For This Halloween

Texas is getting ready for Halloween and there’s not much on our minds but to make sure our costumes are amazing, our children have fun with the trick-or-treating this year and hopefully,  candy bags are delicious. Now I’ve never been a person who’s been picky about receiving free candy and neither is my son.

NOT REALLY A PICKY EATER, BUT WE CAN ALL DO WITHOUT CANDY CORN

One thing for certain two things for sure, Texas what I can do without is toothbrushes as a treat, fruit as a treat, and most importantly please I repeat, please do not put candy corn in my son's bag.  I realize over the years they have reinvented the wheel when it comes to candy corn and even made flavors like Sweet Tart and Starburst candy corn, we can’t forget about Nerd's candy corn but the reality of it is it’s all disgusting and I really wish candy companies would consider stopping this particular product. Some people actually like Candy Corn I just personally have never met these individuals.

WHY CANDY CORN TEXAS WHEN THERE ARE MANY BETTER CANDIES TO CHOOSE FROM?

Candy Corn reminds me of that one family member who’s never invited to anything, but for some reason finds a way to show up to the BBQ, it’s annoying and you’re really not welcome here. All jokes aside, Halloween really is for the kids and the parents eating the kids' candy so even if you do decide to put candy corn in my son’s trick-or-treat bag this year I guess I have to accept the thought that counts and understand it will be placed in the trash immediately. Happy Halloween central Texas. Please be safe and stay away from Candy Corn as much as possible! I'm just kidding (kind of lol).
