It’s National I Love Lucy Day

Today is National I Love Lucy Day and I have to say this girl DOES love Lucy! I have always been an I Love Lucy fan, when the show is on tv, I stop everything and will watch several episodes at a time. I've even had people buy me 'I Love Lucy' gifts over the years, I have a purse, some wine glasses, I Love Lucy compact, salt and pepper shakers, it's my little collection...

The holiday is in honor of the fact that the 'I Love Lucy' show premiered on this day in 1951, it lasted six seasons and was the most watched show on television for four of the six seasons. Growing up, this is my first memory of comdy shows. I guess my parents watched, so I did too and have always thought that Lucille Ball is one of the funniest actresses of all time.
