Today I found myself at the intersection of WAIT and Keep Waiting. Have you  ever been there? I'm sure you have. Here in the Permian Basin we've been told there has been an influx of people in the last year or so. It's easy to tell that that's true. Longer waits a restaurants; longer lines at the grocery store and LONGER WAITS and intersections.  Today I came off the ramp heading into Midland at Highway 191 and Loop 250 and it literally took about 7 minutes to get thru the light. I believe it changed 3 times before I went thru. At this point I could have washed my car and aired up the tires by the time I got thru the intersection. Yes, traffic is up in the 432 but who controls these lights?  Traffic signals are typically controlled by a controller inside a cabinet mounted on a concrete pad, and are usually controlled on a fixed time control or a dynamic control which goes by traffic congestion. Most of the time the lights are on a coordinated control system but it always seems that when I get to an intersection it's on the 'let's see how long we can make them wait-control'! Patience is definitely needed lately while driving in the 432 and waiting at intersections for the lights to turn. What intersections do you dread in the 432 because of long waits?
