Hundreds Show Up For Free Back To School Backpacks in Odessa!

First week of school in Odessa this week and a lot of kiddos are ready thanks to FCHC! This past Saturday was the Back To School Build A Backpack Event at the law offices of Fadduol, Cluff, Hardy & Conaway! And, hundreds of kids showed up to pick their free backpacks and fill them up with school supplies.

It was awesome to see the kids pick out their favorite backpacks. Whether it was a 'Frozen' backpack or a 'Baby Yoda' backpack the kiddos were ready to grab their backpacks and fill it up with a bunch of cool school supplies.

There was  a lot of awesome help on Saturday for the backpack event.

The OPD Crime Unit was on hand.  Odessa Crime stoppers Paw Patrol was doing finger prints for the kids.  Kona Ice was supplying free snow cones. West Texas Urgent Care was helping with the event as well and  the Raza Style Bike Club was doing some face painting. And a big shout out to Chef Alexandro  from Curb Side Bistro was grilling up some awesome hotdogs!

It was an awesome event. Last year it was a drive thru event , but this year families were able to walk up and build their backpacks.

Major props to the entire staff of FCHC, they put on a great event and gave away some awesome prizes as well like tickets to see a  Dallas Cowboys Game giveaway .
