The thing about living in Midland-Odessa, Texas, is that we do not have very many bodies of water that are essentially close to us.  Granted, we can experience lakes, ponds, or rivers for recreation such as swimming or fishing, but it's safe to say that we have to drive a way to access said bodies of water.

This is the challenge of living in a geographical location like our small portion of the Permian Basin.  The desert-like region can pose a challenge for any potential sportsman, especially recreational fishermen.
