BREAKING NEWS: 16-year-old Student Charged with Bringing Weapons on Campus in Odessa
Our media partners at Newswest 9 are investigating a 16-year-old Permian High School student accused of bringing two guns, ammunition and brass knuckles on campus in his backpack.
There are reports that campus officials received a tip about the guns and notified police immediately. There was no lockdown on the campus.
The student is said to be charged with three counts of Places Weapons Prohibited, a third degree felony. Newswest 9 reports the student will also face the maximum administrative punishment as well.
