It has been a while, but soon it will be happening! The Balmorhea Pool at the Balmorhea State Park is set to open up again!

According to Your Basin Dot Com...

The pool and day use areas will open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. or sunset, whichever comes first.

Day passes are available online now. Pool goers are encouraged to buy passes in advance, before making the drive to the pool.

Light construction is ongoing in the pool area. As such, the San Solomon Courts, campground and cienegas remain closed. Visitors are asked to be cautious around construction areas.

I have been here may times and wow what an experience. It really is a POOL that allows you to swim with the fish and turtles and things! LOL So much fun and a once in a lifetime experience. The best thing to do is make sure you bring some goggles and masks, because seeing all the aquarium life under you while you swim is definitely worth it all.

Where does the water come from?

The pool water is fed through the San Solomon Springs. Really cool deal.

How deep is the water in the Balmorhea Pool?
