A Beach LESS Than 5 Hours From Midland-Odessa ? Summer Fun Awaits You
What if I told you that you don't have to drive over 8 hours to get to the beach? You would say I'm CRAZY right? As a kid, I remember family trips to Corpus Christi and being in awe of the beach. As an adult, I visited Galveston for the first time and fell in love. But both of those are over 7 hours away. It's too much for just a weekend getaway.
Well, check out this hidden little surprise gem that I bet you've never heard about because I sure hadn't. The DFW has a beach. Let me say that again, there is a beach in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area!
I discovered it on TikTok and would love to discover it in real life. We simply must try out this man-made beach that is only 15 miles from downtown Ft. Worth.
WHERE IS THIS BEACH LOCATED IN DFW AND WHAT IS IT CALLED?
Twin Points Park, according to their website,
is nestled in the southern point of Eagle Mountain Lake.
Twin Points is located at 10200 Ten Mile Bride Road in Ft. Worth, Texas and is open 10 am to 8 pm beginning every Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. Monday through Thursday access to the swim beach and boat ramp is only $10 per vehicle and on weekends, it is only $20 per vehicle. Beach permits must be purchased in advance online because as you can imagine, this beach fills up fast.
According to tripadvisor.com, this is Ft. Worth's premiere daycation spot' where you can relax on the soft, sandy beach and swim all day. Great for picnics, barbecue's and there is plenty of shade for family gatherings. On the weekends, you can rent a paddle board or enjoy a game of sand volleyball.
