50 Cent to Release Greatest Hits CD Later This Month
Pretty soon you'll be able to listen the full spectrum of your favorite 50 Cent songs on one project—a double album, to be exact. On March 31, the folks at UME will release 50's first Greatest hits compilation.
The Best of 50 Cent album will feature all of 50's biggest hits from Get Rich or Die Tryin, The Massacre, Before I Self Destruct and Get Rich or Die Tryin' (Music from and Inspired By the Motion Picture) and more. If you were old enough to appreciate 50's gangsta rap domination some 12 years ago, you'll definitely remember how huge 50 was when you listen to this album.
50's Get Rich or Die Tryin', with its combination of grimy lyrics and deceptively pop-friendly hooks, managed to sell 12 million copies. His sophomore album, titled The Massacre, sold a whopping 1.14 million album units in just one weeks time. That total would have been the second biggest first week sales of 2016, falling just short Drake's wildly popular album, Views.
XXL has reached out to G-Unit Records for a comment on this release.
