They say that everything is bigger in Texas. Everything from football stadiums, gas stations, and even some roads and highways is exceedingly larger in the Lone Star State than in other states. (It's insane to think some states don't have highway turnarounds)

Having said that, one would think that the celebration of a major U.S. holiday would also merit an over-the-top celebration. Right?

The Fourth of July is fast approaching, and some may begin to think about what they plan on doing to celebrate. Maybe a backyard barbeque with family and friends? Or perhaps venturing out in public to see a public display of fireworks?

Star-Spangled Salute:

This all-day event happening in the heart of downtown Midland is an annual event with plenty of things to do, such as free live music and food trucks for those who want to purchase food. All patrons are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs.

Firecracker Fandango

This long-standing Odessa, Texas tradition will have all the fixings of past years, with one significant difference: this year will include a drone light show that will be shown alongside the fireworks display. There will also be food and live music in a spectacular, family-friendly event destined to entertain the masses.
