What is Texas’ Most Popular Chain Restaurant?
Now that we are all getting back to some semblance of normality after the past two years, what is the Most Popular Chain Restaurant in Texas?
According to the Midland Reporter-Telegram, the most popular chain restaurant in Texas is...Chili's Grill & Bar!!
The rest of the top five most popular chain restaurants in Texas are as follows: IHOP, Texas Roadhouse, Olive Garden, and BJ's Restaurant.
Chili's also got the top rating in every border state of Texas as well as Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Connecticut, and Florida.
Chili's covered most of the southwest while the southeast chose more breakfast-known restaurants such as Waffle House and Cracker Barrel.
IHOP only had one state of the 50 where it was most popular, Kansas. Olive Garden in Utah and Longhorn Steakhouse in Vermont were other restaurants that only took one state.
Texas Roadhouse almost went coast to coast, taking the top spot in Maine, Virginia, Kentucky, Indiana, Missouri, Iowa, Wisconsin, South Dakota, Nebraska, Wyoming, and Idaho.
According to Google Trends, most of the results were from traffic inside the restaurant, but Chili's Grill & Bar also surged in takeout at the beginning of the pandemic.
But since then, takeout trends have slowed down for Chili's, with it currently at its lowest point since the start of 2020.
So it seems that Texas prefers to eat in at Chili's rather than take out because an Awesome Blossom would not be the same at home as it is on the table at your local Chili's.
