Today Is Mexican Independence Day – This Video Explains September 16th

Happy Mexican Independence Day! Today is September 16th which marks the day Mexico gained it's independence from Spain! Definitely, a BIG deal in Mexico and for all Mexican Americans like myself and Rebecca. And, not to be confused with Cinco De Mayo.

It's a fiesta celebrating Mexico’s declaration of independence from Spain in 1810, and it’s filled with national pride, colorful parades, mariachi concerts, and of course awesome food.

Think of it as Mexicos' 4th of July,
