In 1974, one of the most horrific HORROR movies was released. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre came out in 1974 and pretty much made horror movie history. The movie was primarily filmed at a house on Quick Hill Road near Round Rock, Texas. The movie has become a classic and the HOUSE where it was filmed, well it has become a restaurant?

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre's house was eventually abandoned and then in the early 1990's it was restored and MOVED, yes moved to Kinglsand, Texas where it is today and is a full-fledge restaurant. Wow, I didn't know this was a thing,.

Their website states....

Built in the early 1900s, this Queen Anne-style cottage originally stood in Williamson County, now Round Rock, Texas. It was quite grand for its time with fish scale roofing and its chamfered corners with gingerbread trim. Throughout its life, the Victorian house was home to a succession of families and students, and served as a movie set in 1973 for “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.” The house was purchased by The Antlers Inn in 1998. It was then dismantled, moved to Kingsland and completely refurbished. This Victorian house has been home to Grand Central Café since 2012.
