I’ve known Heather for about 13 years and I was informed Sunday about her passing.

Growing up we we’re all a bunch of crazy kids doing some crazy kid things.  We have a lot of memories together and she will be sorely missed. Our kids grew up playing together and as with many of our circle she was pretty much family.

Being the kind hearted person she was, she was very active in the pit bull community locally. At the time of her passing she was helping 7 bullies in search of homes. While most of them have managed to find a place to stay, I believe there are a few that could still use some love.

I know Heather would want them to be taken care of so please contact West Texas Bully Haven here in the Permian Basin if you’re looking for a fur baby to be a part of your family.

Heather I’d like to thank you for your friendship and the great times we shared. You were one of a kind and there will never be another like you. Too many times you have a friend that’s been around so long that it’s easy to forget that they may not be there tomorrow. Life happens, you get busy, and you get caught up with work. Our close friends are the family we choose. Make sure to let them know that you chose them and that they mean a lot to you. Sometimes we just don’t get another chance.
