Get ready for the BLUES! This Saturday, September 24th the Tall City Bluesfest hits Midland, Texas with awesome music, entertainment, and fun for the family!

An original American music fest hailed as the best blues fest in Texas, Tall City Blues Fest is scheduled to celebrate its 10-year anniversary this Saturday, Sept 24 at The Destination Midland, located at 1705 W. Industrial.

We’ll be utilizing the entire property of The Destination including both the inside of The Destination for our Sponsor & VIP Kick-Off Party, as well as an area situated just a few steps away referred to as the Old Lumberyard that will be the heart of the Fest and where we will showcase this year’s Fest Feature acts for both VIP and general admission patrons,

3-3:45 PM THE CORBELLS

This year's Fest opener is the Greater West Texas Blues Society's 2022 solo/duo act they sent to represent West Texas in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN. They will perform on the Old Lumberyard stage.

3:30-6:30 PM TONY BARKER BAND

A skillfully bred songwriter, Tony Barker was nominated for "Singer/Songwriter of the Year" by the Academy of Texas Music. He will be performing on the stage inside The Destination.

4-4:45 PM JHETT BLACK

Jhett Black brought home 2nd place as a finalist in this year's International Blues Challenge in the solo/duo category from among more than 250 artists that competed. He will perform on the Old Lumberyard stage.

5-5:45 PM IN LAYMAN TERMS

This brother/sister fronted group brings big sauce and bold sass to our stage. One of the Fest's youth acts from previous years, they are all grown up and ready to rock. They will be performing on the Old Lumberyard stage.

6-7 PM DIRTY RED & THE SOULSHAKERS

Bringing fiery harmonica work and a piping hot guitarist, Dirty Red, brings a spicy roadhouse style of blues to the Fest that pairs perfectly with whiskey sipping. They will be performing on the Old Lumberyard stage.

7:15-8:15 PM JOHN SPROTT BLUES BAND

John Sprott Blues Band is the Greater West Texas Blues Society's 2022 band they sent to represent West Texas in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN. They will perform on the Old Lumberyard stage.

8:30-9:45 PM MR. SIPP (HEADLINER)

From the heart of Mississippi, Mr. Sipp is one of the top three Fest faves and will rock our stage with a scandalously charming dose of the Delta. He will be performing on the Old Lumberyared stage.

10-11 PM NOAH WOTHERSPOON (FINALE ACT)

Noah Wotherspoon will close out our stage with his guitar whispering soulfulness. He will perform on the Old Lumberyard stage.

• OTHER FUN ACTIVITIES HAPPENING!

According to the Press Release:

A food truck court will be available, as well as a Kids Korner, where The Destination will provide a maze obstacle jumper, face painting, a snow cone truck, corn hole and other various games for kids. Children under 12 do not require a ticket and are admitted free, but must be accompanied by an adult. Vendors to shop and a Fest merchandise booth will also be available.
A full bar service will be provided on-premises, including beer, wine and mixed drinks.
