‘Stranger Things’ Season 2 Confirms Super Bowl Teaser With First Photo
As if 2017 weren’t already strange enough, Stranger Things will be kicking off the countdown to Season 2 this very Super Bowl Sunday. A first photo from the sequel season sees the gang decked out in Ghosbusters regalia, with the promise of an official Stranger Things 2 teaser during the big game.
Entertainment Weekly debuted a first photo from the new season, as Dustin, Finn and Lucas look a little old for Halloween costumes, whether or not their Ghostbusters duds are era-appropriate. We’ll still have to wait until Sunday’s big game for a first official teaser, ahead of a likely summer premiere.
Elsewhere of Stranger Things Season 2, we know shooting will take place in Atlanta through April for a summer premiere. The story will pick up in the fall of 1984, while creators Matt and Ross Duffer have teased a James Cameron sequel influence in crafting the second chapter. We’ll also learn more about the Demogorgon and Upside Down, as teased in our exclusive concept art piece, while Sadie Sink and Power Rangers star Dacre Montgomery have been added to the cast in regular roles, along with Brett Gelman, Goonies alum Sean Astin, Aliens baddie Paul Reiser, and actress Linnea Berthelsen.
More Stranger Things details are surely coming, including a list of directors, but stay tuned for the full teaser on Sunday.
