ABOUT ST. JUDE

The research hospital is located in Memphis, Tennessee. St. Jude is leading the way in treatment and research methods for childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. It prides itself on providing custom care for sick children regardless of their ethnicity, race, beliefs, or ability to pay.

St. Jude's opened their doors on February 4, 1962, by Danny Thomas. Danny was a young, struggling entertainer and turned to St. Jude Thaddeus to help him, and he would return that into the world. Soon after his prayer, Danny began to pick up work and eventually became one of the biggest stars in radio, film, and TV.

Now that Danny had established himself, he kept his vow and opened St. Jude in 1962.

HOW TO BECOME A ST. JUDE PARTNER

When St. Jude first started its journey, the survival rate for childhood cancer was at a low 20%. With the hospital making strides in research and treatment they raised that rate to 80%.

St. Jude does not charge their patients and their families one cent for the care they provide. This is where you come in!

The St. Jude Radiothon is on February 6th and 7th. Call 1800-372-4999 to participate and donate! Lovely radio Lonestar 92.3 legend Gwen will be available to take donations from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on both days.

You can also text the word KNFM to the number 626262
