Popular TikTok Shows Crane, Texas Highway Sign With Typo
Crane, Texas -- One thing that is crucial to driving on not only Texas roads, but all roads in general is communication. That communication can come between drivers sharing the road such as blinkers or hand signals, to road signs that communicate to drivers speed limitation, road closures, or even information about distance to any given destination. So again, one could go on to say that communication while behind the wheel is pretty important.

One small town is getting a lot of popularity on social media is Crane, Texas. A small community located roughly 30 miles south of Odessa. Crane sits on Hwy 365, which is one of the main routes to get to Odessa. So naturally, when someone spotted a road sign that was misspelled, it made the rounds on social media.
In case you were wondering, that is not how you spell Andrews, Texas. In the video, you see the camera man zoom in and out showcasing the typo. But why doesn't the state just replace it? I began to wonder just how much the Texas road signs actually. cost. Granted, this was something I had never thought of. Upon some research, I was surprised just how expensive a single sign like this could run the state of Texas. To create a sign such as this can easily cost hundreds if not thousands of dollars.

As comical as this may be, I believe the people of the region know what the sign means despite the typo. Still, it's funny. However, this also brings up the question on whether or not the state is going to correct this once they catch wind of it.
