Our PAWS FOR THE CAUSE friend this month is Oliver. CLICK HERE TO HELP OLIVER He is currently at A to Z Vet in Midland and he needs your help. Here is the story from a Facebook Post.
On Monday I was driving my son to school and a small, blonde dog was hit by a car. No one stopped or pulled over to get him out of the road. By the time I turned around, he had been hit again. Pulling up to the curb, a young woman had dragged his little twisted body up on the curb. When I got out of my car, she said that she thought he was dead. I went over and the little dog was very badly mangled. He looked as if he might be a homeless dog. His hair was very badly matted. When I put my hand on his little chest, his heart was beating. I picked him up in my arms and he wagged his tail and licked my arm. My first thought was...there was hope...because most animals who have been injured bite, but he even through his massive injuries wagged his tail. I rushed him to the vet. In the vet's office, the receptionist asked what I wanted to do with him. I said I had 300.00 dollars on me and at that very moment, the man sitting beside of me said he would give a 100.00, then another, and now we have raised 700.00 for this little dog. He has been very badly injured...losing an eye, shattering his front left leg, and pelvis but through all of this he wags his tail. He is a special little dog and will change someone's life when he is all "fixed". He had surgery on Wed...two three hours surgeries to fix the front left leg. He pulled through wonderfully. Friday Dec. 21, he will start the surgery process of repairing the pelvis ....
