I love radio. I love talking and entertaining people while paying respects to great artists and listening to great music all day. Once I got into radio, I knew I had an addiction. I knew it was something I definitely wanted to do for the rest of my life. However, there is one thing I enjoy even more than radio.

I have always loved voice acting. I used to record myself as a kid doing different voices and trying to imitate TV and radio commercials. I watched a TON of Reading Rainbow and PBS programming as a kid. They always had these great narrations of popular kids books along with slightly animated pictures from the illustrations. I was obsessed with these stories. One of my favorites of all time, was Pecos Bill narrated by Robin Williams. Back then I didn't even know who Robin Williams was. He hadn't done any of his blockbuster kids movies at that time. I actually didn't even realize it was Robin Williams narrating until I was an adult. I just knew that the guy talking made me fall in love with the story of Pecos Bill. I actually found the original narration (It doesn't start until about 5 min in FYI, but it's the whole story and I'll bet your kids love it).

I've ALWAYS wanted to narrate a children's book like this. I don't know why, but it's always been one of my goals in life. Yes, I know it's a weird goal to have.  A couple days ago, I was hired by an actual author with several published children's books to do her first book narration/animation. I'm literally working on the narration all this weekend and I couldn't be more excited. One of my childhood fantasies is actually happening. The book is a really cute children's story about an alien from outer space trying to learn how to fit in on earth.
