Midland-Odessa Needs One Of These Entertainment Complexes!
I visit the Alamo City alot. I have family there that I get to visit often #1 and because obviously there is far more to do there #2. I love the city, I love the atmosphere, it's big but to me has a small-town feel. Weird but true. One of the restaurants we frequent, as a mother of 3, is one called Chicken n Pickle. We were there just a couple of weekends ago! We need one of these here in the 432...
if you've never been to one or even heard of it, you must visit at least one of the several locations in Texas. This one in San Antonio or 1 of the 2 in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, you will love it! It is literally an indoor/outdoor complex that has all kinds of cool games for kids and adults, fun for a family outing, it's huge! There are pickleball courts, bocce ball, shuffleboard, and even cornhole. The several times I have been to Chicken n Pickle they have live music on the outdoor stage.
During these colder months, no worries, there is indoor seating and games as well, including a ping pong table and plenty of TVs to watch your favorite sports.
The food is amazing, I highly recommend the street corn, sweet potato fries, and their version of tamales. So good! Also, I failed to mention the bar. Yes, parents, take your kids to have a ton of fun playing Jenga, (I forgot they have that too), while you kick back with an adult beverage and you can keep an eye on them in the process. Win-win.
With the current and future growth here in the Permian, a Chicken n Pickle restaurant would be the perfect addition to either city.
