Country Music Icon Pat Green Set to Headline Baylor Backyard Live Game Day Concert

Texas country music icon Pat Green will take the stage at Touchdown Alley outside McLane Stadium on Saturday, September 26, headline-ing the Baylor Backyard Live concert series ahead of Baylor University's Big 12 conference opener against Colorado. It doesn't get more Texas than Pat Green!


 


 

Fan First Era

The pregame performance forms part of Baylor Athletics' "Fan First Era," an initiative designed to pump up the gameday crowd.The outdoor show is free to the public, setting up in the tailgating zone just outside the stadium.

Game Day Concert

Concerts throughout the 2026 fall season are designed to roll out directly after the team's traditional Bear Walk, kicking off roughly one hour and 45 minutes prior to game time and running for an hour. Specific performance times depend on official game broadcast schedules.

The Backyard Live Series Schedule

The Backyard Live series features a diverse mix of musical genres across six home game dates:

Sept. 12: Suede (R&B, funk, rock, and jazz) vs. Prairie View A&M

Sept. 19: Members Only ('80s cover band) vs. Louisiana Tech (Family Weekend)

Sept. 26: Pat Green (Texas country) vs. Colorado

Oct. 17: Wynn Williams (neotraditional country) vs. TCU

Nov. 7: Graham St. Clair Band (Americana & country) vs. Iowa State (Homecoming)

Nov. 21: Sloppy Joe Band (classic rock) vs. Texas Tech

A Waco Hometown Connection

Born in San Antonio, Green spent much of his childhood in Waco before launching his musical career while attending college at Texas Tech University. Playing local venues and bars, he quickly built a loyal following.
