As large as Bell County is, I think it’s time for the city of Killeen to get a Costco! Now, I know what you’re thinking: There’s no reason to bring a Costco to Killeen because we already have a Sam’s Club. However, there are different products and offerings at Sam’s Club and Costco, and in my opinion, the price differences can be significant.

Why Doesn't Killeen Have Costco's?

I understand that Costco’s absence in Killeen may come down to factors such as site selection, market demand, competition, and demographic criteria. However, Killeen continues to grow, and I think it’s time to consider bringing one to the area. I’m aware that Walmart and Sam’s Club already have a strong presence in the Killeen and Fort Hood area, but have you ever been to a Costco? It’s truly amazing!

Will Central Texas See Another Costco Soon?

The closest locations are in the Georgetown and Pflugerville areas, and I don’t want to drive 35 to 45 minutes just to buy groceries and shop in bulk. I want to be able to get everything I need to meal-prep for the week right here in town, and I feel like Costco could make that happen. I know many Central Texans in the Bell County area are loyal Sam’s Club members, but I still think having a Costco in Killeen would be nice. It would give residents another option for shopping, buying groceries in bulk, and potentially saving money. What do y’all think? Is it time for Killeen to get a Costco?
